Cynthia Ruby


Cynthia RubyCynthia started with The Ellis Firm, APLC in January 2016 and has quickly become an essential part of the firm.

In 2013, Cynthia Ruby earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University. She continued on to obtain her Paralegal Certification from the University of San Diego in 2014. During her criminal justice studies, Cynthia interned as an Investigator for the Alternate Public Defender's Office where she gained a passion for law. During her paralegal studies at USD, Cynthia interned as a Paralegal for the immigration law office of Jacobs & Schlesinger, LLP. Shortly after obtaining her paralegal certification, Cynthia worked as a Correctional Deputy Probation Officer for the County of San Diego where she gained an interest in personally advocating for people through legal means.

After completion of her studies, Cynthia worked as a Paralegal with Arena & Schnitzer, APLC, gaining valuable experience handling personal injury matters and a strong desire to advocate for the injured.

Her education, passion for advocating for people, and strong work ethic have enabled her to assist the attorneys at The Ellis Firm, APLC and their clients and quickly become an integral part of the team.

Cynthia speaks, reads, and writes Spanish fluently. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, sightseeing, and spending time with family and friends.
